Diamond Pilots Association Launches Our Third Annual Worldwide Diamond Aircraft Owners and Pilots Survey

The Diamond Pilots Association (DPA) is excited to announce the opening of the third annual worldwide survey of Diamond Aircraft owners and pilots. This year’s survey has been developed in close collaboration with Diamond Aircraft Industries and the official Diamond Flying Club (DFC), building on the success of previous years to gather valuable insights from the global Diamond community.

Last year’s survey saw strong participation, with 275 owners and pilots from 25 different countries sharing their experiences, feedback, and priorities.

The 2025 survey consists of 55 questions and is expected to take 20-25 minutes to complete. It is open to all current and former Diamond Aircraft owners, pilots, and enthusiasts worldwide.  The survey opens February 1 and runs through March 15.

Access to the survey is via the following URL: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KTV2VVL.

Aggregated summary results will be shared with Diamond Aircraft Industries, their authorized dealers and service centers, and participating suppliers to support continued product improvement, customer service enhancements, and community engagement. The findings will also be made available to participants and the broader Diamond community through the DPA website.

“We are grateful for the ongoing partnership with Diamond Aircraft and the Diamond Flying Club,” said Ed McDonald, DPA President. “This collaborative effort ensures the survey captures the most relevant topics for our global fleet of owners and pilots. Your input directly helps influence the future of the Diamond Aircraft ownership experience.”

Participation is voluntary, anonymous, and greatly appreciated.

My Piston Power Experience

After five years as a first-time owner, I learned the hard way that the Piston Power “Tip-to-Tail” is not the comprehensive coverage it sounds like: only specific listed items are covered, rates rise unilaterally every year, and you forfeit your entire engine-overhaul account balance if you don’t renew (even when the prices go up and the coverage level drops). I wish I’d had an attorney and mechanic review the contract first. Read my review on the Diamond Pilots Association website to avoid making the same mistake.
